Speaking of Feng Shui

by Linda Lenore on February 20, 2012

Over the last few days I have had the opportunity to speak on a variety of aspects of Feng Shui for speakers and the energy of our environments. There are so many possibilities to increase the energy where we live, work, speak and nurture our dreams, creating the ideal combination for our lives to sprout and grow the way we’d desire.

When we enter a space, we are immediately affected by it. It doesn’t matter if it is inside a building or not, we get the “vibe” with which it is resonating. We intuitively, or on a “gut” level, know when something isn’t right. We can be attracted to something good – something not on our radar – that is blocks away if it resonates with us. We will find ourselves at that spot experiencing delight and wonder.

As I was sharing this with several groups this weekend ( I was speaking at Caterina Rando’s Sought After Speaker Summit), I saw the “lights come on” as the attendees “got” what I was stating. Afterwards they came to me sharing their “Ah-ha” moments.

Feng Shui is about energy, or chi; it’s about the flow, balance, movement and vitality of our environments, whether indoors or outdoors. Finding a way to evaluate the correct balance for the desired use of the space or the desired outcome by the users is the art, science and philosophy of Feng Shui.

The words “Feng Shui” refer to “Wind Water” respectively. Those are the elements giving life to our planet and us as human beings. Too much or too little of either can cause problems. That’s the yin and yang of life.

There are several different schools of Feng Shui. Some integrate the directions while others look at birth dates. Various religious influences also occur. There’s a couple of schools where the interpretation of the brain impacts the way one utilizes Feng Shui.

As a speaker and author on the topic of Feng Shui for over 25 years, I clarify, and often demystify, this powerful tool for life. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding any Feng Shui issue or question. You’ll find many answers in my posts on this blog. If you don’t, I’ll be delighted to write about it.

If you have a group or organization who needs speakers for their meetings, contact me for a list of topics I present.  If you and your friends have the desire to learn more, contact me for a convenient location, or book me for a private class. We have lots of fun discovering the wonders and wisdom of this ancient tool for improving our lives.
