I just finished writing an email to a client about the correct placement of a Feng Shui water fountain as it pertains to Feng Shui wealth and Feng Shui chi. There are a few basic principles to know to improve Feng Shui chi in order to benefit from Feng Shui water fountains.
First, let's have the water fountain be beautiful and filled with lots of water if at all possible. Small fountains provide some good energy just because they have water. Since water is a Feng Shui symbol of "wealth", having more water represents having more wealth. That's pretty simple to grasp.
Second, if the fountain catches the water in a bowl or basin after it shoots upwards, that is great. If the fountain allows the water to flow a particular direction, we want that direction to be towards the home. Even better will be a water feature where the water flows towards the door, whether it's the front, back or side door to a home. Again, we're talking about an exterior Feng Shui water fountain. There are other guidelines for interior water features.
Next, make sure the water is flowing most of the time. If the noise will disturb you or a neighbor at night, then use a timer to turn it off and on to make sure it runs most of the time. It does relate to wealth and health, so let's have it bringing both to you 24/7 when possible.
We want water that is clean. Most water that circulates from a fountain will be clean due to the very nature of circulation, but if not, please address that issue and remedy it.
One of the questions I'm often asked is about correct location. This one has varying answers, too many to go into in this post. If you have concerns, please contact me.
In fact, please send me specific queries regarding your particular fountains in a personal email through my website at GreenChiDesigns. I'll answer them in my blog. If you have a photo, please include it and let me know if I may use the photo to help with the explanation of it.
